[Toronto, Canada] Dr. Paik Namsun of Ewha Woman’s University Hospital gave the keynote lecture at the 4th World Congress on Breast Pathology and Cancer Diagnosis Conference held in Toronto, Canada on August 23-24, 2017.
Breast Pathology 2017 is the world’s definitive platform for pathologists, doctors, medical practitioners, students and Clinical research organizations to gather on a single platform and present their work, encourage and analyze cases to infer and strategize novel methodologies in the treatment and therapy of breast cancer. Speaking to a group of fellow surgeons, pathologists, students, and clinical research organizations, Dr. Paik spoke at length about the “Current status of Korean breast cancer and new technology of oncoplastic surgery.”
In many areas of the medical field, Korean skills surpass those of the traditional leaders of medicine, such as the US and Europe. One of these areas has breast cancer treatment, where Dr. Paik has pioneered numerous procedures and techniques to enhance and lengthen the lives of women who have been afflicted by the devastating disease.
