Inside 3D Printing Conference & EXPO Returnes to Seoul

South Korea has become one of the hottest markets in the 3D printing industry. In April 2017, the Korean Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning(MSIP) announced that they would invest KRW 41.2 billion (approximately, USD $37 million) to boost Korea's 3D printing industry. The director general of the ministry said that financial resources would be spent primarily on bio printing, 3D software and material development, which are essential in this sector.

To build on this momentum, Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) and Rising Media will hold the 4th annual Inside 3D Printing Conference & Expo in Seoul on June 28-30, 2017. Inside 3D Printing is the largest professional 3D printing event series worldwide, having hosted 39 events globally since its launch in 2013 in New York City. Over 9,000 attendees are expected at this year's event in Seoul. The theme for this year's event is "The New Era of Digital Manufacturing."

The exhibit category has been widened from 3D printers to 3D scanners, CNC milling machines, CAD/CAM/CAE software, metrology, reverse engineering, post processing and materials to showcase developments in this new era of digital manufacturing.

According to press of PR Newswire on May 15 that this year's exhibition is expected to have over 70+ exhibitors including global corporations such as EOS, MakerBot, German Reprap, XYZ Printing, MSC Software as well as major Korean additive manufacturing players such as ZWCAD Korea, 3D Box, Motion Works, and Owl Works 3D. The connections made at Inside 3D Printing Seoul 2016 resulted in over 120 contracts signed worth USD $80 million within 6 months after the show.

This year's opening keynote speech will be delivered by Omer Krieger, President, Stratasys APAC and Japan. The multi-track program will have over 30 world-class speakers from Autodesk, Stratasys, 3D Systems, EOS, Arcam, and Dassault Systemes. The session topics focus on manufacturing, metal, business, and the aerospace & automotive industries.
