Russia’s oil and gas exhibition MIOGE launched a Global Telecoms Pavilion for Oil and Gas companies in the sector on February 10 amid growing demand for telecoms, software and IT services among Russian oil and gas firms.
The Global Telecoms Pavilion at MIOGE is Telecommunications technology and services, Data transfer solutions, VSAT , Drone monitoring technologies, Cloud, analytics, mobile and cyber security solutions,Network infrastructure, Information engineering.
Held in Moscow on the 27-30 June 2017, MIOGE brings together the entire Russian oil and gas industry. Over 700 exhibitors from around the world present products every year, 30,000 buyers visit the exhibition, and 1,000 delegates take part in the conference alongside it, including top-level government officials. This is the kind of audience you can expect for your products by being part of the Global Telecoms Pavilion.
Why oil and gas in Russia
Global oil and gas capital expenditure will recover and grow over the next two years (see the graph below) — and technology, media and telecoms spending will rise with it, increasing 19% between now and 2018. And with oil production at a 30-year high, Russia is at the heart of this recovery.
Why is Russia such a vibrant market for telecoms suppliers
* A lot of Russia’s new oil and gas activity involves deep-water drilling in the Arctic and other remote areas, as well as new facilities in northern Russia to process liquefied gas. These are tough conditions in inaccessible areas — advanced telecoms, IT and satellite services and technologies are vital for these projects.
* Elsewhere in Russia, owners are looking to invest in advanced tech to keep operating costs under control. And with half of all oil and gas executives rating telecoms and IT innovation as ‘very important’ over the next 5 years, this trend will continue.
* Not only that, the global ‘Smart Well’ market is expected to grow significantly between 2017 and 2021 (up to 5% year on year), including in Russia — this sector is heavily dependent on advanced communication technology.
