Kia Motors' Soul electric vehicle came on top in Germany's electric vehicle market in terms of sales last month. According to industry sources on September 28, the Soul EV was sold 360 units last month in Germany, standing far higher than Audi A3 e-Tron's 177 units and Tesla Model S's 130 units.
The Soul EV gained a share of 25 percent in the German EV market last month. For the January-August period of this year, the model was sold 1,099 units in Germany, ranking No. 5 in sales terms among major EV models.
In Norway, the haven for EVs, the Soul EV was sold 326 units last month, ranking No. 3 behind Volkswagen e-Golf's 735 units and Nissan Leaf's 587 units. For the first eight months of this year, the Soul EV was sold 1,169 units in Norway, emerging as the seventh most popular EV model.
